Serial programming interface
This interface enables RS232 communication with analog programmable power supplies. The interface is available as a factory built-in option or as an external PSC module. This page covers both versions. See the data sheet for more information.
The RS232 interface sets both output voltage and current and is able to read voltage, current, and status. At a resolution of 14 bits. The interface also controls Remote/Local, Remote Shut Down and more. Up to 15 PSCs can be connected to only one RS232 port. The analog voltages can be calibrated by software. The calibration settings can be saved in non-volatile memory and recalled at power on.
